William Langton lecturer, teacher and ensemble director: rock history, world music survey, funk ensemble and contemporary music ensemble.
Before returning back to school 6 years ago, I had been a professional musician for over 20 years (over a thousand gigs, 6 CDs, 2 soundtracks and several commercials). In returning to finish my BA and start graduate work, I am seeking to both: bring my real world experiences into the academic setting and employ a greater degree of rigorous scholarship in my own work. For the last four years I have had the opportunity of teaching and assisting in a variety of musical subjects.
